Southampton boss Pellegrino 'really happy' after West Brom win

Sofiane Boufal produced a wonder goal to earn Southampton a 1-0 win over West Brom.

The substitute ran fully 70 yards from inside his own half and left three defenders on their backsides - two of whom had collided with each other - before sliding the ball home for a truly memorable strike.

“In the Premier League, to make this difference is not easy," said Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino of their attacking threat.

“I'm really happy because I think we deserved to win.

“We created chances and controlled the opponent until the second half when they changed to five defenders with two strikers.

“In that moment we struggled. Our reaction at the end changed the game, but I thought we deserved the goal a little bit earlier.

“We put them under pressure from the beginning, we played well and we created chances."
