Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino has no doubts over Virgil van Dijk's commitment.

Saints go to Liverpool this weekend, with the Dutchman the headliner after a summer full of transfer speculation.

Pellegrino said: "He's 100% focused on our team and is training for the big game.

"He wants to improve his performance after the injury. Obviously we can not control the market and it's normal that clubs want to buy our players It's part of our job.

"Today's football is a business. All teams are struggling to find the best players to buy and we have them.

"It's not a secret that sometimes players get distracted, but it's normal for them to do so."
