Man City whiz Lewis talks Foden and Pep 'intensity'

Manchester City midfielder Rico Lewis admits playing for manager Pep Guardiola is intense.

Lewis says training is always done in fifth gear.

"It is intense. It's probably ten times more intense than anyone from the outside thinks," Lewis told BBC Sport.

"That intensity does not come from nowhere. He works so hard, he's obsessed with winning and he's won everywhere he's been. But that's part of being at Manchester City. Two league titles in a row was not enough, three in a row is not enough, four will not be enough.

"Next season he always wants more anyway."

Another player to come through Manchester City's academy is Phil Foden, 23.

The attacking midfielder has had a brilliant season (24 goals and eleven assists in 49 games) and Lewis is clear that his teammate is a role model.

"He has experienced everything for me, and he is the best player to come from the academy up to the senior squad, says Lewis and continues:

"So there is really no one I should listen to more when it comes to getting into the team."
