Southampton have failed with an opening bid for Feyenoord striker Graziano Pelle.
The Daily Mail says Saints have been rebuffed in a £5million bid for Pelle at Feyenoord with the Italian striker valued at £9million.
New Saints boss Ronald Koeman sees the Italian as a replacement for Liverpool signing Rickie Lambert.
