Shkodran Mustafi has entered talks with Arsenal about a release from his contract.

The 28-year-old has only made three Premier League appearances all season after struggling with injuries, and has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates.

Mustafi has been linked with a whole host of clubs, including Serie A side Lazio, and Football London reports he could soon seal an exit from the Gunners as a free agent.

Arsenal have already let a number of players leave this month, with Mesut Ozil joining Fenerbahce, Sead Kolasinac going on loan to Schalke and Sokratis being released.

And Mustafi looks to be the next out of the door as the club continue to clear out some of their deadwood.
