Obafemi Martins has been named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 29 of the 2013 season.
Martins opened the scoring in front of more than 55,000 fans with a fine one-two play with Andy Rose which culminated in the striker firing home a pinpoint cross from the Australian midfielder for his eighth goal of the season.
Martins later turned provider, releasing DeAndre Yedlin down the right flank, who in turn set up Lamar Neagle to score his third in three outings 38th minute.
The victory gave Seattle top billing on the Western Conference table as they now sit a point ahead of Western rivals RSL and the East's top side New York Red Bulls.
Martins' performance gained him his first weekly nod of the 2013 season from the North American Soccer Reports.
