Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes the club should never have sold striker Danny Welbeck to Premier League rivals Arsenal.
Welbeck left the Red Devils in 2014 after current manager Louis van Gaal relegated the striker to a bit part role within his squad.
Scholes questioned the Dutchman's decision, saying Welbeck would be a certain starter in United's current squad.
"Danny Welbeck should never have been allowed to leave this club," Scholes told BT Sport.
"He was here from nine years old, he could play on the wing or up front. He is quick, strong and can score a goal. He would walk into this team now."
