Schmeichel hoping Leicester heads don't drop

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel remaining upbeat despite the defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Foxes suffered another league defeat after losing 4-3 at Spurs in a thrilling encounter but despite the loss, it has to be said that the Leicestershire outfit put in a brave display and deserved at least a point from the clash.

Therefore the outcome of the game would have been bitterly disappointing for Leicester but goalkeeper Schmeichel has said that rather than dwelling on the loss, he is focusing on the positives against Tottenham and has urged his side not to allow their heads to drop.

The Dane told the Leicester Mercury: "We've nine games left and six of those are at home against teams that are in and around us. It's still in our hands and we have to do better, we have to win.

"It's disappointing but, on the other hand, I think we've got a reason to be proud of ourselves for the way we stuck at it. We went 2-0 down and got back to 2-2, then the penalty, that killed us.

"Then the fourth goal (the own-goal), that's just the way it's been going, but if we keep playing like that then we'll win more points than we lose."
