Schalke's German-born American midfielder Jermaine Jones is being linked with a move to Bundesliga rivals Stuttgart.

According to Bild, the 27-year olds future with Schalke is in doubt and negotiations with Stuttgart are believed to be underway.

Jones has had stints with Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen and has also represented the German national team before pledging his allegiance to the US in June.
