New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has directly called AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker about joining him in London.

Liverpool tabled a world record €60m offer to Roma yesterday for Alisson.

Premium Sport says Sarri is hoping his relationship with Alisson can make the difference, as the Italian called the Brazilian on the phone.

Sarri offered the keeper a €6million [£5.3million]-a-year deal to sign for Chelsea, and that the Blues are preparing to match Liverpool's offer.

Alisson would arrive at Chelsea to replace Thibaut Courtois, who is Real Madrid's top target.
