Santos star Neymar has no regrets rejecting an August move to Chelsea.
Chelsea are said to have tabled a £25million bid for him, but he eventually agreed to stay in Brazil.
"That was another good experience for me: saying no to a move to Europe and choosing to stay at Santos," Neymar told FIFA's website. "It was tough making that decision, but I don't regret it. I think that my family and I made the right choice and I'm very happy to have done so."
He also said he hoped his decision could serve as an example for other young Brazilian players.
"Maybe young players will follow that example and start putting more weight in staying at a Brazilian club for a bit longer," he said.
