Roma are wrapping up the signing of Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen.

Talks between the two teams have been steady over the past few days, with Barcelona seemingly willing to let the Belgian go after his Euro 2016 performances.

After initial struggles over the details of the move, the defender will join Roma in a loan deal worth 2 million euros with an option to make the move permanent for a fee between 8-10m, says Marca.

Vermaelen was undergoing a medical in Rome on Sunday.
