Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has called on fans not to get carried away after returning to the top of the table.

Victory against Lazio has Roma again ahead of defending champs Inter Milan.

But De Rossi says: "Inter are still the favourites. But we are keeping our feet on the ground."

On his controversial substitution during the derby win over Lazio, De Rossi added: "Ranieri thought that I played badly and that I was not in a position to play the second half.

"I mustn't look at the substitution. I am a Roma player. We could have lost the derby, but losing it would have meant saying goodbye to the Scudetto and that would have hurt."
