Newcastle United haven't dropped their pursuit of Montpellier midfielder Remy Cabella.
The Journal says Cabella is still near the head of Newcastle's list of summer targets and one of their priority options as they search for a replacement for Paris Saint-Germain January signing Yohan Cabaye.
Despite disparaging comments from Montpellier president Louis Nicollin about Newcastle, his representatives remain keen to talk to the Magpies in the summer.
Nicollin is seeking £15 million for the midfielder.
