Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay insists nothing is yet settled over David Silva's knee injury.
It's been claimed Silva has suffered an ACL injury after breaking down in training last Wednesday. The 37 year-old is now said to be ready to announce his retirement.
But Aperribay says: "He has an injury that we don't want him to have. Silva was injured last year, had an operation, and we do pertinent examinations. But he was able to play the last few games, he was feeling perfectly, the medical services had informed us that he could play both last season and this season, and that he was one more player.
“The problem is that with this injury, it is a more important injury.
"We have not confirmed everything because we want to go to a specialist like Mikel Sánchez, but the perspective is that of a cruciate ligament."
