Real Sociedad coach Philippe Montanier is holding out of hope of signing Arsenal striker Carlos Vela permanently.

The stumbling block for Real is Arsenal's valuation for the Mexico striker.

"I am optimistic and I hope next week he is here with us. I know that Carlos wants to return. But I do not know how exactly the negotiations with Arsenal are going," said Montanier.
