Real Madrid midfielder Rodrygo Goes says he looks up to senior teammate Luka Modric.

Rodrygo admits Modric has a big influence on his game.

He said, “He helps me a lot. It is much easier to play with him, with the quality that he has. He is like a father to me."

On coach Carlo Ancelotti, Rodrygo continued: “What always happens with him happened, that he won. He always wins, he is a phenomenon. He is successful wherever he goes and here it could not be different.

"He has done a spectacular job with us since the day he arrived. I always remember everything he told us during the preseason, the advice he gave us. During the season the team continued to grow and improve, we had few bad moments and in the end everything worked out."

Real meet Eintracht Frankfurt in the European Super Cup and Rodrygo also said: “I have never played a European Super Cup. I've only played the one in Spain and I think it's great. I want to play it every year. To do this, you have to win the Champions League and I always want to win the Champions League.

"It will be very special for me. In all the finals, we forget the name of the competition and we just want to win. Whether it's the Super Cup, the Champions League or whatever, we always go out to win. It's the mentality of our team."
