Real Madrid are making Valencia ace Andre Gomes a priority signing this summer.

AS says Real see Gomes as a natural heir to Luka Modric, who turns 31 in September.

Real are in contact with Valencia, but do not want to meet the midfielder's €65 million buyout clause. However, they're prepared to get close in a deal stacked with bonuses.

In Real's favour is they know Valencia need to sell. Los Che want to raise €40 million this summer to help balance the books.

Valencia have already rejected this summer offers from Chelsea and Juventus close to €40 million and Barcelona are also interested in Gomes' signing.
