Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos has entered the Cristiano Ronaldo controversy.

Ronaldo hinted at friction with Real management, which has sparked talk of the former Manchester United winger wanting out of Madrid.

Anzhi chief Roberto Carlos commented: "I think Cristiano is upset as the trophy for the best player in Europe was taken by Andres Iniesta.

"I would say to Cristiano to keep playing as he knows. I know the fans are with him."
