Reading are the subject of takeover interest.

The Daily Mail says Reading, Sheffield Wednesday and Southampton are being targeted by Canadian sports conglomerate Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) who want to buy an English club.

Despite distancing themselves from designs on Tottenham, they are looking at under-performing clubs.

Fact-finding meetings took place at all three clubs and a delegation also visited Chelsea, but that was a learning exercise.

The trip was arranged by the company's auditor, Deloitte.
