Rayo Vallecano coach Francisco was delighted with their 0-0 draw with Real Madrid.
Francisco praised his players for keeping out the Madrid giants.
He said, "To get a point here you have to suffer a lot and that's how it has been. We have had moments where they have pushed a lot and we have held on. We have been brave in playing defensive duels, in many of them we have emerged winners.
"Real Madrid has had its scoring opportunities and that has made us take a point. The team has been very competitive and I am leaving very happy.
"We had prepared the game to have high pressure, but Madrid interpreted well and they took (Luka) Modric to the outside. They prevented us from going out so high to press.
"I had imagined a suffering game, with them having their occasions and we had to try to spend as little time as possible in our area. Joselu was a danger as he was a reference, I think we controlled Vinicius and Camavinga well, but it is true that we lacked a little more presence with the ball on the opposite half."
