Rayo Vallecano coach Francisco was delighted with their win at Granada last night.
Goals from Álvaro García and Pathé Ciss saw Rayo win 2-0 and add to their opening day triumph.
Francisco said: "I'm leaving a bit happy with everything. We knew we were coming to a field where the rival was going to squeeze us because it was their first home game after being promoted and they had just played well against Atlético de Madrid.
"We have known how to suffer to keep their score at zero, which we have been working on since the start of the preseason. The team is competing well, we have played high-level matches in preseason and we have not conceded either.
"This gives us options in the opposite field because we are a brave team. The first half has been a lot of back and forth, both teams have had chances, although Granada at times a little more.
"In the second half, when the game was more stationary, we made changes, which have been good for us. We have been effective on the two occasions that we have had and then were compact to get the victory."
