The agent of Raul has defended the Real Madrid captain's decision to take in the tennis ahead of watching Spain play Finland last week.

Raul's presence at the tennis caused much controversy, but Gines Carvajal said: "If the game had been a qualifier, he would have watched it, for sure, but it was a friendly.

"He knew that they were going to photograph him, he did not hide."
