Scottish champions Rangers have turned down a £6.5million bid from Leicester City for strike star Nikica Jelavic.
Ambitious Leicester are still trying to strengthen their Championship squad ahead of the transfer deadline but they have not been successful in their pursuit of the Croatian international who arrived at Ibrox from Rapid Vienna last summer.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Rangers Football Club can confirm that they have today rejected a £6.5million bid for striker Nikica Jelavic from English Championship side Leicester City."
