QPR continue comprehensive manager search with Powell interview

Queens Park Rangers have interviewed former Charlton Athletic and Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell as they continue to search for a replacement for sacked boss Chris Ramsey.

The Daily Mail is reporting Powell's main rival for the QPR role is former Chelsea player Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who is currently in charge of League One outfit Burton Albion.

Former QPR boss Neil Warnock is currently overseeing the team as interim manager, but it is understood he is not being considered for the position long-term.

QPR chief executive Tony Fernandes and director of football Les Ferdinand are believed to be willing to take their time with the appointment of the club's next manager to ensure they get the right man for the job.
