Newcastle and Aston Villa are among a number of Premier League clubs interested in a potential loan deal for Tottenham's Andros Townsend in January, Sky Sports sources understand.

The 24-year-old winger has struggled to establish himself in Mauricio Pochettino's first-team this season and is keen to get regular football to be in with a chance of making the England squad for the European Championships next summer.
