Portsmouth are spending big to sign Chesterfield manager Paul Cook.
The Daily Mail says Cook is poised to become the new manager of Portsmouth.
Cook was in charge of Chesterfield on Sunday as they were knocked out of the League One play-offs following a 3-0 defeat at Preston.
League Two side Portsmouth were initially refused permission to speak to Cook in April following the departure of Andy Awford. However, they have offered the £250,000 release clause in the 48-year-old's contract and he is due to take over at the south coast club in the coming days.
