Pogba reveals pre-final speech to France's World Cup winners

Manchester United's World Cup winner Paul Pogba has revealed he gave a pre-match speech to his France tonight's before victory over Croatia.

The 25-year-old became the first Manchester United player to score in a World Cup Final, curling in a sublime left-foot effort that gave Les Bleus a 3-1 lead over Croatia on their way to a 4-2 victory.

After leading the squad's wild celebrations as they showered manager Didier Deschamps with champagne and energy drinks, Pogba said: “It is a dream since I was a young boy. I hope we have made the people proud.

"I told everyone before the game, 'We are 90 minutes away from realising our dream, we are 90 minutes from entering into history books for life, and we were 90 minutes away from making France rock — even children, and their children, will know about this.

“So guys, we can do this. There are two teams and a Cup and we are not going to let another team take this Cup.'

“That is all I told them."
