Atletico Madrid are benefiting from a new mentality this season, says defender Luis Perea.

The centre-half, reflecting on Sunday's dramatic 1-0 victory over Getafe, which saw four players see red, said: "We're very pleased because we've managed to win a very difficult game.

"Perhaps in past seasons we would have lost this game. The defence are working very well, there was a big wake-up call when we conceded seven in two games, but now everything is coming together for us."
