Parma star Sebastian Giovinco has been warned he's not yet to at the level of Juventus captain Alessandro del Piero.
Giovinco, part owned by both clubs, is being paired with a summer switch to Turin as a replacement for the departing 37-year-old.
"I hope that Giovinco can be the post-Del Piero, but in order to get to those levels he has to keep working," Gialloblu chief Tommaso Ghirardi said.
"Saying that, Giovinco can give a contribution to the international side and I'm thankful to Italy boss Cesare Prandelli for calling him up to the squad.
"Giovinco has quality and, fortunately, we own half of his contract."
