One point all we deserved against Swansea - Sunderland's O'Neill

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill suggests his side deserved nothing more than a scoreless draw against Swansea City on Tuesday night.

The Black Cats improved drastically in the second half after Swansea bossed possession in the first half and O'Neill felt his side were subpar after not mustering one shot on target at home.

"We didn't play very well at all, the point was about as much as we deserved," O'Neill told Sky Sports 2.

"We had no game at the weekend and I thought that would help us immensely, we rested up and got ourselves prepared.

"I thought Alfred (N'Diaye) was a little bit lost, overall we were second to the ball and allowed Swansea to dictate the pattern to the game and at home that wasn't good enough."
