Xisco's chances of re-establishing himself at Newcastle United have been dealt a blow with a three-match suspension.
Newcastle have confirmed Spanish forward Xisco will serve a three-match ban following his sending-off in Tuesday night's reserve clash with Sunderland.
The 24-year-old was shown a straight red card for flicking out his foot at Black Cats youngster Jordan Cook in an off-the-ball incident as the Magpies' second string won 3-1 at the Stadium of Light.
He will now miss first-team games against Blackpool and Everton in the Barclays Premier League and Chelsea in the Carling Cup.
