Newcastle United could be without key striker Papiss Cisse for this weekend's meeting with Tottenham.
The Senegal international, who has scored two braces in the past four matches, has an injury cloud hovering over him for Sunday's trip to White Hart Lane along with tough midfielder Cheick Tiote and summer signing Emmanuel Riviere.
Magpies boss Alan Pardew said: "We have not got a crisis, but we have one or two we are kind of waiting for.
"Riviere, is he going to be available? Papiss, Cheick Tiote, and I'm not really going to be clear on any of that until [on Saturday]. But we have got players in the group to cope if they don't make it."
Newcastle go into the clash with Spurs on the back of a 1-0 home victory over Leicester City which was their first triumph of the season.
