And The Sun says Van de Beek would welcome an approach from the Toon this summer.

The Dutchman endured an injury-plagued season under his old Ajax coach Erik ten Hag, though did return to senior training before the end.

Newcastle expressed interest in Van de Beek in January and are now ready to try again.
