Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey feels there's a new atmosphere since the club's takeover.
Shelvey has certainly noticed a different mood from the terraces since the new consortium bought the club.
“Yeah, luckily I've been able to play for both Liverpool and Newcastle and I agree (about the locals being friendly) with you there," he told Stadium Astro.
“It was becoming a little bit horrible before the new owners came in, but ever since then it's been back to what you associate Newcastle with.
“The people are so friendly up here and they live and die for football.
“As long as we don't forget that as a team and put it in every week, that's all they ask of you, so you have to keep doing that.
“In terms of the atmosphere at the stadium, it's a lot better."
