Newcastle United are ready to try again for Glenn Hoddle after being turned down by Terry Venables yesterday.
The Sun says Hoddle has the same reservations which forced El Tel to say no and is wary of the lack of security Newcastle can give him.
Hoddle, like Venables, does not fancy starting on Tyneside only to be kicked out when the club is finally sold.
The 50-year-old former England boss has been out of work since quitting Wolves two years ago.
But he has since set up a soccer school in Spain and enjoys his media work.
His close relationship with Toon director of football Dennis Wise has put him in the frame for the stop-gap role, worth about £100,000 per game.
