Newcastle United hope to take Wilfried Zaha on-loan from Manchester United.
The Daily Star Sunday says Toon chief Pardew is confident the Magpies can lure the attacker, 20, to St James's Park, with director of football Joe Kinnear tasked with sealing the deal.
Zaha made a £15million move from Crystal Palace to Old Trafford in the summer, when Sir Alex Ferguson signed him in January and then loaned him back.
But the England Under-21s ace has yet to feature under David Moyes this season, other than in the Community Shield victory over Wigan.
A source said: "The prospect of playing at Newcastle is the preferred one at present but it depends on United allowing a loan move to happen."
