Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has played down reports of a raid on Sampdoria.

Sampdoria pair Giampaolo Pazzini and Angelo Palombo are being linked with Napoli.

But De Laurentiis says: "We haven't thought about one, nor the other. We cannot think about investing €57m every year.

"Actually, we have Denis up front and we want to keep him close. In central midfield, we have already invested in Cigarini, then there is Gargano and Pazienza while Blasi's contract is still ours."
