Naismith ready to fight for Rangers place

"Obviously I'm going to have to work hard," he said. "We have a big squad and, as we saw on Saturday, a few of the boys were rested after the big European game. I think that is going to be the way forward for this club with the big squad and, hopefully, I will get the chance to show what I can do and score a few goals for the club. If I play, I'm happy. I will play wherever the manager wants me to play."

The Scotland international is relishing the chance to shine on even greater stages.

"I watched the Champions League draw thinking it was great that Rangers were in the group stages," said Naismith. "No words can describe how it feels to be part of that now."
