Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has again assured fans he is fully committed to the job.

He publicly declared he might not stay next season and some suggest he had been sacked for this statement, but a meeting this week managed to calm the situation.

"I just needed to hear from the club," Mazzarri told Radio Marte. "In a year many things happen in such an important arena, so at the end of the season you need to clear the air.

"It's true that my rapport with the President has been strengthened by this experience."

There were reports that he had been offered the Juventus job, but that is now heading towards Antonio Conte.

"Putting my stay at Napoli in doubt did not mean my mind was elsewhere. I always referred only to Napoli, the interests of the club, the team and the fans.

"We clarified everything and are aware that we can do well, even if it'll be difficult to follow up such an excellent campaign as this."
