Max Choupo-Moting has urged Stoke City fans not to compare him with Marko Arnautovic.

The Austrian left Stoke for West Ham last month, though new signing Choupo-Moting insists he's no like-for-like replacement.

The former Schalke attacker said, "I know Marko, of course, he played at Bremen a long time and is a very good player. I try to help the team as much as I can, I think I have the quality and can bring a lot to the team. That's my goal.

"A replacement (for Arnautovic)? As a fan, I would maybe see it the same because he left, I came, I play a similar position.

"But for me, I am a different player with maybe different qualities. Our goals are always to be dangerous in the box, to score and have assists, but I am still a different player."
