Manchester United striker Kiko Macheda expects to extend his stay with Stuttgart into next season.
Macheda's current loan expires in June, but he revealed a deal is in place for him to return to Germany for next season.
"In June, my loan at Stuttgart ends, but there's already a verbal agreement with the Germans to extend my stay. Like I said, I am very well here: the experience in the Bundesliga is important for me, both on a personal and professional level.
"If there was a chance, I would be very happy to continue here," Macheda told Calciomercato.it.
"Manchester United? My relationship with (Sir Alex) Ferguson is great. It's clear that I have always wanted to return to wear the jersey of the' Red Devils'. I grew up at United and this fills me with pride.
"Not everyone in their career has the opportunity to play for a club so glorious. But to return now wouldn't be good for my career because I need to take the field with a certain continuity."
