Man Utd raiding Cardiff for top scout

Manchester United are pushing to appoint Cardiff City's Ben Clarke in a recruitment role.

The Red Devils are working hard on their ability to bring in players at youth and senior level.

Per Football Insider, United are impressed with Clarke's work at Cardiff as their head of academy recruitment.

He may take on a similar role at United, which would explain his eagerness to move on from the Championship club.

Personal terms are agreed between the two parties, with United only having to extract him from his contract.

There is not thought to be a link between Clarke's arrival and Sir Jim Ratcliffe's imminent 25 percent stake purchase in United.
