Manchester United are willing to explore the prospect of a swap involving Paul Pogba for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

Don Balon says United boss Jose Mourinho is contemplating the shock offer in an attempt to get Bale to Old Trafford this summer.

Mourinho sees Bale as his dream summer signing and is prepared to go to extreme lengths to secure his signature.

United would be prepared to offer Pogba plus cash in order to convince Real Madrid to sell the forward.

However it remains to be seen if Real Madrid would accept the offer before they announce a new first-team manager.

Pogba's future at United continues to dominate transfer speculation, however it is worth noting there is no suggestion United would like to sell the Frenchman this summer.
