Man Utd goalscorer Lukaku: Important win is for everyone

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku was delighted for his teammates after victory over Chelsea.

Lukaku struck in the 2-1 win and was named best afield.

The striker insisted the win wasn't any more significant for him because it was against his old employers but he was certainly pleased to contribute to a key result for United.

“No, I'm just happy with the win for the team," he said. “It was an important win for us I think. It was important for us to win and to get back into second position in the league so I'm just happy with the win."

Lukaku now has 22 goals in 40 games across all competitions in what has been an impressive debut season so far for the 24-year-old, but he is keen to do more in order to help the Reds win silverware.

On his scoring ratio to date, he added: “It's not bad, but you can always improve. I want to do better for the team. At the end of the day, I'm at Manchester United and I want to win trophies. That's the most important thing."
