Manchester United are reportedly willing to break a transfer record to land Diogo Costa.
The Red Devils want to land a new goalkeeper in the summer, as veteran David De Gea may be moved on when his contract expires.
Per AS in Spain, United are assessing Porto shot stopper Costa as a possible replacement.
However, if they are to sign Costa, they may have to pay more than the £72 million that Chelsea paid for Kepa Arrizabalaga in 2018.
The 23-year-old is in hot demand, with several clubs chasing after him.
United may even further renew De Gea, after triggering a 12 month option, but the 32-year-old would have to accept a much lower wage than what he presently earns.
