Man Utd encouraged as Bayern Munich prepare De Ligt sale

Bayern Munich defender Mathijs De Ligt will be allowed to leave the club in the summer.

The Holland international is not in favor at the club under boss Thomas Tuchel.

While De Ligt was a mega signing by Bayern only two years ago, he is already not happy at the club.

Per Sky Germany, the 24-year-old can depart if a suitable offer arrives in the summer.

One possible destination for De Ligt is a move to English giants Manchester United.

He has said of United boss Erik ten Hag: “He is someone who loves his job and he loves to work. He's really into the details.

“This makes him a really good trainer. He has a lot of qualities [to succeed].

“We will have to see how he goes. He definitely improves players. He wants to do everything to make his team play better."
