Man Utd comment on Ronaldo leaving Old Trafford before final whistle

Manchester United have commented on Cristiano Ronaldo's early exit yesterday during the friendly against Rayo Vallecano.

Sky Sports says United have insisted they had no issues with Ronaldo leaving Old Trafford before the end of their 1-1 friendly against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

The wantaway Portuguese star played the first 45 minutes of the game but was the only player to be substituted off by manager Erik ten Hag at halftime.

United initially refused to comment on Sunday but they have now clarified the club has no issue with Ronaldo leaving early as he was one of a number of players to do the same.

The 37-year-old was replaced at the break by Amad Diallo, who gave United the lead with a close-range rebound in the 48th minute.
