Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is seriously considering a move for Malaga midfielder Eliseu. The Daily Mail says United need someone who can cover both full-back areas and 28-year-old Portugal international Eliseu is among the candidates.

They have looked at Malaga's squad where Spain international left-back Nacho Monreal is an obvious target while club captain Jesus Gamez is their first choice right-back.

Eliseu has electric pace and can play as a right wing-back, left-back or left midfielder. Benfica have already declared an interest and he has indicated he is ready to go.
