Man Utd boss Ferguson mocks media: Ferdinand won't play tonight - but don't get excited!

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits he won't play Rio Ferdinand in tonight's Champions League clash with Braga.

But he insists the decision has nothing to do with Saturday's t-shirt row.

"Tomorrow, so your false teeth don't fall out, I am not playing Rio," he said.

"We have a game at Chelsea on Sunday at Chelsea, which is a big one for us, so we will leave two of the older players, Rio and Patrice Evra, out tomorrow."
